Detectives from Strike Force Trident are investigating three unlawful entries in the Palmerston central business district overnight.
In the first incident around 12:20am, a licenced premised was unlawfully entered and a quantity of alcohol stolen. Police CCTV operators observed a suspect and Police arrested a woman shortly afterward.
In the second incident, around 3:30am, security guards alerted police to an unlawful entry at another licenced premises in which a small amount to alcohol was stolen. Unknown offenders remain outstanding.
Just after 5:00am, the initial complainant reported that his venue had been entered a second time. CCTV operators observed four offenders absconding on foot. Just after 6:00am police located and arrested one alleged offender.
Acting Superintendent Mark Bland said, "Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the outstanding offenders. Anyone with information, CCTV or dash-cam footage from the CBD area between 5:00 and 6:00am is asked to contact police on 131 444."
