Update Fatal crash, Julago

Police have charged a 62-year-old man in relation to the death of 64-year-old male in a crash at Julago on November 25, last year.

It is alleged that the traffic crash occurred at 10pm, two vehicles collided on the Bruce Highway, the two trucks involved were a B-double which remained on the roadside and a flatbed trailer which came to rest on the embankment of the highway just north of the Townsville crematorium.

A 62-year-old man from West Mackay has been charged with Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, use of mobile phones, false an misleading information and six charges of information required to be recorded immediately after starting work.

He is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on December 8.
