A 19-year-old woman is due to appear in Manukau District Court today charged with wounding with intent following a stabbing in Papatoetoe yesterday.
The female victim remains in hospital. Her injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
The 19-year-old woman and the victim were not known to one another.
As the matter is now before the courts, Police are not in a position to comment further.
