Updated Activities Associated Direction 11 March, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Activities Associated No 21) (COVID-19) Direction 2022 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Activities Associated No 22) (COVID-19) Direction 2022. This Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on 12 March 2022.

Key changes include:

Public Activities

Density restrictions have been removed across all public activities, including hospitality venues and home gatherings. Restrictions on dancing and singing have also been removed. Restrictions on Shisha have also been removed.

QR Codes

QR codes will no longer be required for:

  • Recreational and public transport;
  • Taxis and rideshare services;
  • Educational services; and
  • Auctions and inspections of properties for sale or rent.

QR codes will still be needed for other defined public activities where COVID Safe Plans and COVID Management Plans are required (excluding the above).

Masks

Masks remain for high-risk settings, personal care and healthcare services, passenger transport, indoor fitness facilities (except while exercising) and shared indoor public places (except bridal parties during ceremonies, private functions and private activities).

Other existing requirements remain.
