Updates have been made to Cross Border Travel Direction in South Australia.
The Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel-Associated Direction No 7) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 came into effect at 1.57pm on Friday 30 April 2021.
This Direction acts as an appendix to the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel-General) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. It specifies the level of cross border requirements (as articulated in the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel-General) (COVID-19) Direction 2021) for arrivals into South Australia as follows:
- Western Australia, Perth and Peel Region arrivals- no longer have any COVID-19 testing, quarantine or entry restrictions. This means that:
- People now arriving from Perth or Peel Regions into South Australia are no longer subject to any restrictions.
All people who have arrived in South Australia from Perth and Peel Regions since 17 April who are currently subject to level 3 restrictions are no longer required to adhere to these restrictions.* WA arrivals are no longer required to get the remaining day 5 & 13 COVID-19 tests, can enter a high risk setting and can attend events with a COVID Management Plan. Such travellers will receive advice of the release from the restrictions.
- Overseas arrivals- (except New Zealand arrivals) must continue to comply with level 5 requirements.
* Unless otherwise directed by an authorised officer from the Department of Health and Wellbeing.
