Updated Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination Direction 4 March, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination No 6) (COVID-19) Direction 2022 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination No 7) (COVID-19) Direction 2022. This Direction came into effect at 1.33pm on 4 March 2022.

Key changes include:

People who engage in work or perform duties in Healthcare Settings on a single occasion or on an infrequent and irregular basis need to produce a negative Rapid Antigen Test result that is taken on either:

  • The day of attending the healthcare setting; or
  • 24 hours prior to attending the healthcare setting.

They are not required to be fully vaccinated to enter the healthcare setting provided they have done the above prior to entry and comply with wearing appropriate PPE as required by the Operator of the setting.

Other existing requirements remain.
