Updated Residential Aged Care Direction 6 July 2021, South Australia

Updates have been made to the Residential Aged Care Direction in South Australia.

The Residential Aged Care Facilities No 38 Direction came into effect at 10.49 am on Tuesday 6 July 2021.

The following changes apply:

  • Masks are no longer compulsory for those in a Residential Aged Care Facility.
  • There are no longer visitation limits for Residential Aged Care Facilities related to the percentage of residents that are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Other existing requirements remain. The information above only highlights the changes key made to the Directions and does not reflect all requirements. Members of the public are encouraged to see the full Directions for further information. Members of the public must be aware that a Residential Aged Care Facility may impose their own restrictions in accordance with their facility.

The Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 37) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 38) (COVID-19) Direction 2021.
