Urgent public appeal for assistance: Search underway for missing man, Doolandella

Police have launched a search operation to locate a 66-year-old man missing from Doolandella since yesterday morning (December 1).

Mau Sitivi was last seen yesterday (Thursday) around 10am on Rockfield Road where he wandered off from family.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare as Mau has medical conditions and may be disoriented or confused, and has limited English.

The search, involving foot patrols by police and SES, is currently focused on the Doolandella area.

Mau frequents shops at Oxley and Forest Lake and parks in Doolandella. He is likely to be travelling on foot or possibly by public transport.

He is described as Samoan, with brown eyes and greying dark hair and was wearing a black jumper with maroon trackpants.

Local are asked to check their properties, yards and sheds.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact police.
