Urgent public appeal for assistance: Search underway for missing man at Maryborough

Police have launched a search and rescue to locate an 80-year-old Torbanlea man last seen in Maryborough last night (December 8).

Colin Harris was last seen on Walker Street around 9.30pm and was wearing a blue checkered shirt, tan pants and work boots with big glasses.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 170cm tall, thin build, with sparse white hair and blue eyes.

Police hold concern for his welfare as he has a medical condition and may be disorientated or confused.

The search, involving foot patrols by police and rescue helicopter, is currently focused on the Maryborough area.

Residents in the Maryborough area and surrounds are asked to to check their properties, yards and sheds.

Anyone with information regarding Colin's whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police.
