Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke by phone today with his Spanish counterpart, Minister of Defense Margarita Robles, to discuss the steadfast U.S.-Spain bilateral defense relationship and security assistance for Ukraine. The two leaders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the Ukrainian people and condemned Russia's unlawful war of choice. Both leaders looked forward to continued coordination through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and future bilateral engagements.
