Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with the CEO and President of InterAction Tom Hart. They discussed the long tradition of bipartisan Congressional support for USAID, and the importance of the President's supplemental budget request for addressing urgent humanitarian crises around the world. The Administrator praised the tireless efforts of humanitarian workers and thanked InterAction's members for their continued work to advance development, including through local actors. The Administrator and Mr. Hart also discussed the urgent need to increase the levels of humanitarian assistance reaching Gaza.
