Major Collison Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision after a collision turned fatal earlier this month.
Investigators were told a red Hyundai sedan struck a female pedestrian on Narre Warren North Road, near the Monash Freeway off ramp, just before 10am on Monday, 13 July.
The pedestrian, a 67-year-old Narre Warren woman, was taken to hospital where she died two days later, on 15 July.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 74-year-old Cheltenham woman, stopped at the scene and is yet to be interviewed.
