A vibe camp on the shores of Lake Cootharaba is almost certainly Queensland's most fun, innovation, artificial intelligence event of the year.

Happening across the weekend of 21-23 August 2026, vibe camp is where you learn to 'vibecode' with AI tools over a chilled, family-friendly weekend in the Noosa hinterland.

Presented by Peregian Digital Hub (a Noosa Council facility), the two-day camp is made possible with the support of Queensland Government via their Regional Enablers Program.

Hub Director Chris Boden said spaces are still available.

"There is a beginner's program for people that are starting AI from scratch, and we've included a childcare option so that parents with kids can make it a family affair," he said.

"It's an opportunity to connect with likeminded people and to better understand vibe-coding and how to use it to bring ideas to life," Mr Boden said.

"If you've only used an AI chatbot like ChatGPT and haven't had the time or space to explore further, vibe camp is for you."

You'll learn the basics, meet helpful people and understand how to use vibe coding to build your own websites, apps, or personal tools or entire systems.

This is among several services provided by the Peregian Digital Hub to build knowledge within the Noosa community about artificial intelligence and how it can help people in their everyday lives.

"The Hub, as a council facility, is uniquely placed to help our community with the skills, confidence and ability to use AI,

"It can be a tool to help a business owner drive growth, make a self-employed person more productive or help our seniors to live more independently," Mr Boden said.

"That is why we are running not only vibe camp but a broad array of public facing workshops and courses to help people use this incredible new tool to improve their lives," he said.

People can attend vibe camp's day sessions or stay onsite in one of the many accommodation options.

"Spaces are limited and the ticket prices includes dinners, workshops, entertainment and the hackathon event," he said.

Attendees must bring their own laptop with Starlink connectivity provided.

Venue: Habitat Noosa, Elanda Point (25 mins from Noosa on the shores of Lake Cootharaba)

Cost is $65 per person to participate. Accommodation is separate (book a campsite or safari tent direct with Habitat Noosa).
