Energy Policy WA is hosting the second Industry Forum for the WA Residential Battery Scheme on 25 September 2025 to provide a timely opportunity to hear directly from key players and discuss the benefits of an inclusive energy future.
Since the commencement of the WA Residential Battery Scheme on 1 July 2025, there has been significant uptake from both residents and vendors seeking to participate in the scheme. Through the first phase of the program there have been several learnings and the WA Government remains committed to maintaining a transparent and collaborative forum with customers and vendors alike.
As a result, Energy Policy WA is hosting the second Industry Forum for the WA Residential Battery Scheme to provide a timely opportunity to hear directly from key players and discuss the benefits of an inclusive energy future
To support this forum, additional guidance information has been developed that aims to improve understanding on:
- Testing requirements for Grid Connected Multiple Mode (Hybrid) Inverters
- Options for customers with existing solar systems seeking to install a battery under the WA Residential Battery Scheme
- Benefits of connecting to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) - Information for customers and how vendors can be best placed to participate in the Scheme.
