The City of Fremantle is proud to celebrate WA Seniors Week 2026 from Sunday 8 November to Sunday 15 November, with a diverse program of activities designed to bring older community members together and celebrate their valuable contribution to our community.
Delivered alongside Act Belong Commit and the Department of Communities, the week-long program will offer a range of inclusive, accessible and engaging activities across Walyalup/Fremantle, encouraging older residents to stay active, connected and involved.
WA Seniors Week is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the important role seniors play in shaping our community. Through social, cultural, recreational and wellbeing-focused activities, the City aims to support positive ageing while creating opportunities for meaningful connection and participation.
Whether it's trying something new, reconnecting with friends, learning new skills or simply enjoying time with others, there will be something for everyone to enjoy throughout the week.
Mayor Ben Lawver said WA Seniors Week is a chance to acknowledge the contributions older people make to community life and ensure they feel valued, respected and connected.
"Older people bring immense knowledge, experience and vitality to our community. WA Seniors Week is an opportunity to celebrate those contributions while creating welcoming spaces for people to connect, participate and thrive."
The City invites seniors, their families, friends and carers to get involved and take part in the exciting calendar of events.
