A wanted man has been charged with two outstanding warrants and a range of offences following an investigation into incidents in the state's north and west.
Following extensive inquiries by officers from Oxley and Hunter Valley Police Districts, investigators from the Western Region Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team arrested a 33-year-old man on Kable Avenue, Tamworth, just after midday today (Wednesday 12 January 2022).
He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with the two outstanding warrants for alleged assault, property and domestic-related offences.
Additionally, he was charged with three counts of enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contravene restriction in AVO (DV), two counts of intimidate police officer in execution of duty, two counts of assault officer in execution of duty, two counts of resist officer in execution of duty, escape police custody and breach of bail.
Police will allege in court that the further offences relate to separate incidents that occurred in Muswellbrook in December and Oxley Vale in November last year.
The man was refused bail to appear before Tamworth Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 13 January 2022).
