Congratulations to Dr Michael Backhouse and Prof Janet Dunn, who have been recognised in the NIHR's 20th anniversary celebrations as two of the UK's outstanding research leaders.
To mark its 20th anniversary, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has honoured 40 exceptional individuals across its Research Leaders and Rising Research Leaders categories. Winners were selected for demonstrating outstanding leadership, innovation and impact, alongside a strong commitment to making research inclusive and relevant to patients, communities, and health and care services.
Michael received an award in the Rising Research Leaders category, while Janet was recognised as a Research Leader. Both winners will receive a £10,000 professional development award.
