PICKLEBALL STARTING

Central Goldfields Shire residents will soon have the chance to try one of Australia's fastest‑growing social sports, with Pickleball launching in Maryborough next week.

Pickleball is a fun, low‑impact paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It's easy to learn and ideal for all ages and fitness levels.

Weekly Pickleball sessions, led by instructor Brendon Booth, will commence on Wednesday 22 April at 4.45pm at the Nolan Street Gym behind the Central Goldfields Shire Council Office and VicRoads. The sessions continue every Wednesday until the end of June.

The launch of Pickleball in Maryborough stems from a partnership between the Victorian Government's Healthy Loddon Campaspe program and Council.
