Werribee woman crashes car after Christmas drinks

A Werribee woman won't be driving home for Christmas this year after losing her license following a crash yesterday evening.

It is alleged the female driver crashed into a parked car on Shaws Road in Werribee about 5.30pm on Monday, 5 December.

Police were told the 28-year-old had spent the afternoon at a work function before deciding to get behind the wheel.

She underwent a preliminary breath test at the scene, then returned a reading of .288.

Her licence was immediately suspended, and she is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving.

No one was injured during the incident.
