Western Australia coronovirus update as at 11 March 2021

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 overnight.

The new case is a female in her 40s who has returned from overseas travel and is currently in hotel quarantine.

The State's total number of confirmed cases now stands at 922.

WA Health is monitoring eight active cases of COVID-19 and 905 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 2071 people were vaccinated. To date, 13,498 West Australians have received the COVID vaccine.

Yesterday at WA Health COVID clinics 462 people presented for testing – 457 were assessed and swabbed.

To date, 28 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia (20 B.1.1.7 of the strain and 8 of the B.1.351 strain).

There have been 895,455 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 131,627 were from regional WA.
