Western Australia coronovirus update as at 23 March 2021

The Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.

The State's total number of confirmed cases remains at 931.

WA Health is monitoring 10 active cases of COVID-19 and 912 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, 34,504 West Australians have been vaccinated at WA Department of Health vaccination clinics – 2,391 people received a COVID-19 vaccine yesterday.

Yesterday 339 people presented for testing at WA Health COVD clinics and 326 were assessed and swabbed.

There have been 923,448 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 133,815 were from regional WA.

To date, 35 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia (25 of the B.1.1.7 strain and 10 of the B.1.351 strain).
