WA Health has reported one new local case of COVID-19 overnight.
The State's total is now 1030.
The new case is a man in his 30s and a known, close household contact of Case 1023. He has been in self-quarantine since Wednesday, 28 June. There are no contacts to follow up or any new exposure sites.
This is the sixth case in Perth's northern suburbs cluster.
A total of 398 close contacts have been identified in this community cluster and all of these have now tested negative. Of 2838* casual contacts, 2462 have tested negative so far.
Contact tracing continues with initial public exposure sites available on the HealthyWA website.
WA Health is monitoring 10 active COVID-19 cases (including four cases in returned travellers in hotel quarantine). To date, 1011 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday, 6190 people were swabbed.
To date there have been 1,359,242 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 167,511 were from regional WA*.
Vaccination
WA Health has more than 387,000 vaccination appointments booked in the coming weeks and months and the bookings made available reflect the allocation of vaccines to the State, while ensuring there are enough vaccines for second doses.

New South Wales and Queensland
NSW and Queensland are now both assessed as medium risk. Anyone who has arrived into WA from these states are required to get tested immediately (within 48 hours of arrival), self-quarantine for 14 days, and have another test on day 11 of their quarantine period.
They should continue to monitor updated exposure sites on the Queensland Health and NSW Health websites.
Victoria, ACT and Northern Territory
All are assessed as a low-risk location.
South Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand
All are assessed as very low risk.
Variants
To date, 105 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 53 Alpha strain, 15 Beta strain, one Gamma strain and 36 Delta strain.
