Western Australia Covid update as at 28 October 2021

WA Health is reporting no cases of COVID-19 in the state.

There were no new cases reported overnight and there are no cases in hotel quarantine.

The State's total remains at 1112. To date, 1103 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

Testing clinics

Yesterday, 217 people were swabbed at State-run clinics. To date, there have been 1,858,726 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 215,068 were in regional WA.

COVID-19 vaccinations*

WA has achieved a milestone with more than three million COVID-19 vaccines administered throughout the state since the program commenced earlier this year. (WA data includes all COVID-19 vaccinations in WA delivered by WA Health as well as other providers such as Aboriginal Medical Services and GPs).

Since vaccination numbers were reported yesterday, 22,844 COVID-19 vaccine doses were recorded in WA – 12,998 of these were second doses. The total includes 3701 historic COVID-19 vaccine doses*. These figures represent COVID-19 vaccinations at State-run clinics and doses given as part of the Commonwealth rollout**.

Appointments are no longer required at State-run clinics in metropolitan Perth and regional areas.
