Wiley Pledges Support to Ukraine

Hoboken, NJ - March 10, 2022 - Wiley joins in condemning the invasion and ongoing attack on the citizens of Ukraine. The company is taking action to support the growing humanitarian crisis and promote the free flow of scientific discovery.

Below is Wiley's full statement:

Wiley strongly condemns Russia's unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine and the violent actions against its citizens. We call for a ceasefire and immediate return to peace. We stand in strong support of the courageous people of Ukraine. Further, we call for constructive engagement and dialogue to resolve this conflict and achieve lasting peace that serves all people.

Wiley is pledging $1 million USD to The International Rescue Committee, UNICEF, and other humanitarian organizations to provide aid to those impacted by the crisis and is matching donations made by Wiley colleagues. We are also mobilizing colleagues in Europe to help with on-the-ground efforts to meet the substantial needs of the many refugees.

Wiley believes the global scientific and academic community is a powerful force for progress and that the free flow of ideas must continue, even through geopolitical crises. Therefore, we are making our entire body of scholarly content freely available to researchers and students from Ukraine and working internally and with partners to support Ukrainian scientists, academics and authors during this challenging time.

As a global company with significant operations across Europe, we have many colleagues, customers, partners and loved ones directly and indirectly affected by this conflict; our hearts are with them and all the people of Ukraine.
