Williams serious crash

Major Crash officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred yesterday, Monday 11 March 2019 in Williams.

About 12.45pm, a white and black coloured Scania truck and trailer combination, and a white coloured Hino truck were both travelling northbound along Albany Highway. Near Marradong Road, the Hino truck impacted with the rear of the Scania truck and trailer.

A 31-year-old man who was a passenger in the Hino truck was trapped in the vehicle and received serious leg injuries. He was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 25-year-old male driver of the Hino truck received minor injuries and the 62-year-old male driver of the Scania truck was not injured.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak with anyone who saw the crash, or either of the trucks driving in the area prior to the crash.
