Woman assaulted - Quinns Rock

Detectives from the Joondalup Detectives office are investigating an incident that occurred on Sunday, 8 January 2023 in which a woman was assaulted whilst walking in Quinns Rock.

About 4.45pm, a 23-year-old woman was walking along the beach path near the entrance to the Quinns Dog Beach off Waterland Point when an unknown man appeared from behind nearby bushes and attempted to pull her into the bushland.

The woman fought back and managed to escape with bruising to her shoulder and other minor injuries. The male offender fled in an unknown direction.

The offender is described as a fair skinned male, approximately 30 years of age, with a medium build, and no facial hair. He was wearing a red flannelette shirt, and a black baseball cap.

Detectives urge anyone who saw the incident, or has mobile phone or dash-cam vision taken in the beach area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, to upload the vision directly to Investigators via this link: https://wapf.au.evidence.com/axon/citizen/public/quinnsrocksassault
