Woman dies in crash- Western Region

Investigations are underway after a fatal crash in the state's Western Region today.

About 10.30am (Tuesday 25 May 2021), a car and a truck collided at the intersection of Fairfield Road and The Golden Highway, Dunedoo, about 90km west of Dubbo.

The driver of the car – a woman – died at the scene.

The male truck driver has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established as investigations get underway by officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District, and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Diversions are in place at The Golden Highway, the intersection of Castlereagh Highway, about 15km west of Dunedoo, and the Castlereagh Highway and Mendooran Road.
