Woman Killed in Southern Highlands Truck-Car Crash

A woman has died following a crash in the state's southern highlands.

About 3.20pm today (Monday 24 August 2026), emergency services were called to Exeter Road, near Vine Lodge Lane, Exeter, following reports of a car and truck crash.

NSW Ambulance responded; however, the driver – an elderly woman - died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.

The truck driver – a 57-year old man – was treated for suspected internal injuries before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment and mandatory testing.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District responded and found the tilt truck, carrying a bobcat and the vehicle had veered off the road down an embankment, following the collision.

A crime scene has been established and investigations underway.
