On International Women’s Day, Friday 8 March 2019, the Minister for Health, the Hon. Roger Cook MLA, opened the consultation for the Department of Health’s new state policy on Women’s Health and Wellbeing being developed by the Health Networks Branch.
Designed to complement Western Australia’s Men’s Health and Wellbeing Policy, the WA Women’s Health and Wellbeing Policy (the Policy) will focus on inequalities in health outcomes between women and men, and in population risk groups of girls and women.
The new Policy will identify areas for action for WA that align with the priorities contained in the National Women’s Health Strategy 2020 – 2030 (external site) and the State Government’s Women’s Plan (external site), currently under development by the Department of Communities.
