Major Crash Investigation Section officers are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Wongamine, between Toodyay and Goomalling, today, Wednesday 26 October 2022.
About 6:20am a cement truck was being driven east on Goomalling-Toodyay Road. At the same time a Kia Carnival was being driven west on the same road. The two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the Kia Carnival, who is believed to be a 30-year-old woman, died at the scene. Six children who were passengers in her vehicle have been taken to Perth Children's Hospital with various levels of injury. The children are believed to be aged between 1 and 14 years old.
The 58-year-old male driver of the truck was not seriously injured, however he was taken to Northam Hospital as a precaution.
