June is a busy month for NRCG and Ignite Studios' Public Program, with a range of free and ticketed artist talks and workshop offerings for the community.

Join us for drawing workshops or an artist talk with current exhibiting artist Lea Kannar-Lichtenberger, or a special in-conversation session with exhibiting artist Julia Champtaloup talking with internationally acclaimed director Damon Gameau.

Young Explorers: Special Schools Workshop with Lea Kannar-Lichtenberger

Date: Wednesday 22 June

Time: 10am – 12pm

Where: Ignite Studios, 60 Crane Street Ballina

Ages: 13 – 17 years

Cost: $5

Spanning art and science, in this workshop visiting artist Lea Kannar-Lichtenberger will guide young explorers in how to observe and represent the local river environment. Participants will use images of the local area to create drawings that explore not just nature, but how humans have impacted and continue to impact on it. Lea will also present an artist talk about her exhibition concurrently showing in the Gallery.
