Perth will become the epicentre of world cycling this weekend as elite international riders race in for the UCI Track World Cup.
Taking place from 6 - 8 March with the support of the Cook Government through Tourism WA, Perth is the first of three cities worldwide to host a leg of the UCI Track World Cup in 2026, which will bring three days of high-energy racing to the SpeedDome in Middle Swan.
The UCI Track World Cup is a premier track cycling series consisting of three multi-day rounds held in different countries. After competing in Perth, athletes will travel to Hong Kong and Malaysia for the next stages of the World Cup.
The event will bring competitors from 32 countries to Western Australia, including an 18-strong Australian team, Olympic medallists, world champions, and cycling's rising stars, and will be showcased to a global audience through international streaming and broadcast coverage.
The UCI Track World Cup is expected to bring passionate cycling fans and supporters to the State, boosting the tourism sector and supporting local businesses and jobs in line with the Cook Government's economic diversification strategy.
To increase community engagement with local residents, families, and cycling enthusiasts prior to event kick-off, AusCycling is running free 'Come and Try Track Cycling' sessions at the SpeedDome.
