World's first regulated disinfectant that protects against COVID-19 and Influenza A & B for up

Touch Australia

Australian manufacturer offers the world's first regulated long-lasting surface disinfectant providing effective protection to help create a Covid-free environment for workplaces, public areas, commercial venues and homes.

A newly released antibacterial surface disinfectant developed by an Australian biotechnology company has been listed by TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and proven by 400 scientific studies to not only kill COVID-19, Influenza A and Influenza B but leave a protective antimicrobial layer on surfaces for up to 30 days.

The first of its kind, Surface Guard has the potential to create COVID-19 free environments across public areas that receive a high volume of human traffic such as buses, trains, public bathrooms, and shopping centres. Hospitals and doctors' offices can maintain sterile surfaces for longer to ensure the safety of our most vulnerable community members and hospitality venues can minimise cross-contamination on shared surfaces like bar tops, tables and stools for up to 30 days. Families can maintain a safe home environment by keeping kitchens and bathroom surfaces germ-free from little superspreaders. Surface Guard delivers respite to parents that are constantly sanitising by keeping surfaces clean for up to 30 days. Ideal for peak flu season, Surface Guard protects against not only COVID-19, but the common flu and a number of other viruses.

Revolutionary new MikroGuard+ formula

In collaboration with leading chemists and scientists, Touch Australia has developed an advanced formula in their newly released Surface Guard disinfectant that provides long-lasting protection for surfaces from the risk of contamination for 30 days. Incorporating Touch Australia's MikroGuard+ technology, once applied to any surface, Surface Guard has been shown to kill 99.99% of viruses and pathogens on contact including COVID-19, Influenza A and B, which is also known as the common flu.

Scientifically tested and approved by regulatory bodies and accredited laboratories around the world

Across 400 scientific tests, Surface Guard has produced outstanding results in both accredited laboratories and real-world conditions. Using Touch Australia's MikroGuard+ technology, when applied to hard surfaces, Surface Guard attracts and then kills or inactivates pathogens on contact, preventing them from adapting to the formula. At the same time, the disinfectant bonds with the surface, creating an antimicrobial layer of protection that continues to kill viruses and pathogens for up to 30 days. Along with COVID-19 and the flu viruses, the disinfectant has proven effective against fungi, yeast, bacteria and a range of other viruses including Herpes and Poliovirus.

Representative for Touch Australia, Mazz Gencer, said of the spray: "Now more than ever, the market is in need of an effective antibacterial and anti-viral surface disinfectant to combat the spread of COVID-19. We wanted to release a product onto the market that was reliable, non-hazardous, guaranteed to deliver long-lasting protection and that could be used by households and businesses alike. Customers can have peace of mind knowing that our product is tested, reliable and guaranteed to effectively sterilise their environments."

Unique and advanced Australian technology protects surfaces long-

term against Covid-19 and Flu viruses

Touch Australia has revolutionised the market of disinfectants as the first regulated and rigorously tested product to provide up to 30 days of residual protection on surfaces against COVID-19, Influenza A and Influenza B. Offering reliable and long-term protection against germs, Surface Guard has proven more effective than all other disinfectants on the market.

Comparably, most current disinfectants don't have long-lasting protection of Surface Guard, lasting only 24 hours to 7 days. Whilst certain products have proven long-term protection against COVID-19, their efficacy does not carry across a broad spectrum of viruses and pathogens and nor do they carry the scientific testing to substantiate their claims. This is especially the case when using alcohol-based disinfectants, which cannot provide the same long-term effectiveness against pathogens as microbes can adapt and develop resistance against these solutions.

Mazz Gencer says of Touch Australia's rigorous testing, "We worked closely with scientists conducting tests at Australian and International accredited laboratories. Surface Guard has passed the USA Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) testing methods along with the European Union and UK regulatory testing (EN 13697) and the evaluation of Virucidal Activity (EN14476) in a medical area. We're also Food Safety Approved (C-44) by the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries."

Mazz Gencer continues: "As a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA – part of department of the Australian Government Department of Health) reviewed and formally listed product (ARTG:355166), surface disinfectant is be used by public transportation in Sydney, venues, businesses and hospitals across the country as a way to stop COVID-19 and other viruses from spreading via contact with contaminated surfaces."

All Touch Australia products are manufactured in a TGA and FDA approved facility and comply with the highest Australian manufacturing standards. Surface Guard surface disinfectant is available for purchase as a 500ML spray or 5L bottle.
