Would you like to present at 2022 National Landcare Conference?

Landcare Australia

Landcare Australia is calling for abstracts for the 2022 National Landcare Conference.

This is a chance for individuals, community groups, organisations and universities to showcase their innovative environmental projects to an international audience.

Papers and presenting speakers are sought for six streams: Landcare Farming and Emerging Environmental Markets, Environment and Climate Change, Community Partnerships in Action, Landcare Impact, Urban Landcare, and First Nations.

Anyone involved in protecting, enhancing or restoring the natural environment through sustainable land management and conservation activities is encouraged to submit a short abstract.

"We want to make sure a diverse range of voices are heard at the conference," said Dr Shane Norrish, CEO Landcare Australia.

"Presenters do not need to have extensive experience – Landcare Australia will provide a training workshop to support stream speakers deliver their talks," he said.

Hosted by Landcare champion and ABC TV star Costa Georgiadis, the 2022 National Landcare Conference will be held in Sydney from 23 to 25 August. It will also be streamed online for free.

Those selected can present online only if they are unable to attend the conference in person.

The conference last year had over 3,000 participants and attracted a global audience of people interested in environmental conservation and sustainable land management.

To have your paper considered for presentation for the 2022 National Landcare Conference, an abstract of 500 words or less must be submitted by 11.59pm (AEST) on 13 March 2022.
