Wounding Charge, Capalaba

Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a person following a wounding incident in Capalaba yesterday afternoon, 26 April.

It will be alleged around 5.30pm, a 26-year-old Ashgrove person and an 18-year-old Thornlands man were involved in a dispute at a Redland Bay Road shopping centre.

During the incident, the 26-year-old allegedly caused an injury to the 18-year-old's neck with a knife.

The 18-year-old was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators located and arrested the 26-year-old at a Capalaba address shortly after 7.30pm.

The 26-year-old has since been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Their police bail was denied, and they are expected to appear before Cleveland Magistrates Court today, 27 April.
