Wounding charge, Clontarf

Detectives have charged a man after an altercation in Clontarf early this morning where a man was allegedly stabbed.

It will be alleged at 1.16am an altercation occurred between two men who are known to each other in Wave Street. One of the men received two non-life-threatening stab wounds to the chest.

Police attended and arrested a man at the scene.

A 21-year-old Slacks Creek man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A 20-year-old Pimpama man has been charged with one count of wounding and possession of a knife in a public place. He will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Monday, March 13.
