According to the Times Higher Eduction (THE) World University Rankings, Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is the best Dutch university. WUR is the best Dutch university in the ranking for the fourth year in a row. The prestigious international ranking, lists WUR at place 59.
The Times Higher Education World Universities Ranking is considered a leading ranking and includes over 1500 universities from across the globe. The THE ranks world-renowned universities in five categories that each carry a different weight in the total: education (30%), research (30%) citations (30%), international perspective (7.5%) and industry income (2.5%).
Besides WUR at 53, the Netherlands is represented in the top 100 by Amsterdam University (60), Utrecht University (66), Delft University (70), Groningen University (75), Leiden University (77) en Erasmus University Rotterdam (80).
