WWF Statement on Passage of Inflation Reduction Act

WWF

In response to today's news that the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act, a Congressional spending package that includes unprecedented federal investment focused on climate change and clean energy, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) issued the following statement from Marcene Mitchell, Senior Vice President of Climate Change:

"There is renewed hope with the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act and its historic investments in climate and clean energy solutions.

"We encourage the House to send the bill to President Biden for his signature with all possible speed. This legislation leaves more to do but will be the most important climate bill passed and will allow the U.S. to walk into international negotiations this fall with renewed credibility. Let's get this done and get to work."
