Council's Road Management Plan sets out the inspection frequency, intervention levels, and response timeframe for maintenance on Council's roads; footpaths; shared zones; bicycle lanes; and kerb and channel. The adoption of a revised RMP follows community consultation which took place in June and July of this year.
Community feedback received focused on the levels of intervention and response timeframes to adequately maintain any defects on footpaths and cycling infrastructure. This is in line with the changes contained in the new Plan.
You can learn more about the RMP and understand how the community's feedback helped contribute to the document by visiting the Your Say Yarra project page.
The adopted Road Management Plan will take effect from 1 November 2025, after which all inspections and defects will be managed in line with this plan.
