Successful recipients were recently welcomed with an online launch held by Parks Victoria staff.
Eight young Victorians will each receive up to $1,500 funding to kick start their environmental volunteering projects through the new Youth Volunteering for Nature Fund.
Successful recipients were selected for their clever and creative project ideas which will encourage more young people to engage with nature and help address challenges facing Victoria's natural environment.

Winning project ideas included a new four-day marine pier event, construction of artisanal housing for native invertebrate populations and a volunteering postcard concept using innovative 3D technology.
Managed by Parks Victoria in partnership with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, the Youth Volunteering for Nature Fund funding package also includes a six month mentorship with an expert in the field, workshops and opportunities to network and learn about career pathways in conservation.
Running throughout 2022, the Fund will award a total of $50,000 over the two rounds, as part of the state government's Victoria's Great Outdoors initiative.
