$14M in Support for Solutions murales Proslat for New Factory in Quebec

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, December 13, 2021. - The Government of Quebec, Investissement Québec and the Government of Canada are granting $14 million in financial support to Solutions murales Proslat to acquire innovative equipment and build an Industry 4.0 factory in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, in the Montérégie region.

Solutions murales Proslat specializes in garage storage. Currently located in Châteauguay, the company designs and assembles products manufactured in China. The project, valued at $18.5 million, will enable the business to repatriate a significant portion of its production to Quebec, in a new state-of-the-art factory.

The Minister for the Economy, Lucie Lecours, made the announcement today accompanied by the Member for Beauharnois and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transport, Claude Reid.

Québec's financial support includes a $5.5-million loan through the ESSOR program, granted by Investissement Québec as the Government of Quebec's agent, and a total of $5.5 million in loans from its own funds.

For its part, the Government of Canada, through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), is providing a $3-million repayable contribution to fund the purchase of equipment for the new facility.
