2026 Premier's Anzac Student Tour Participants Named

  • 10 students chosen to travel to Darwin and Singapore for the 2026 Premier's Anzac Student Tour
  • Tour to be held in April to acknowledge the 81st anniversary of the end of World War II, and the 84th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin and the fall of Singapore
  • The Premier's Anzac Student Tour is an annual competition open to all Western Australian students in Years 8 to 11

Ten students from regional and metropolitan Western Australian schools have been named as the successful applicants in the 2026 Premier's Anzac Student Tour.

Premier Roger Cook and Education Minister Sabine Winton have today announced the names of the successful students from schools around the State including Port Hedland, Collie, Dowerin and Busselton.

The students - accompanied by two selected teachers - will travel to Darwin and Singapore to mark the anniversaries of the end of World War II (81st anniversary) and the bombing of Darwin and fall of Singapore (84th anniversary).

Students are selected each year through an application process that requires them to demonstrate their awareness of Western Australian involvement in wartime history.

The Premier's Anzac Student Tour launched in 2004 and 276 students have since been selected to participate, travelling to historic locations including Belgium, England, France, Trkiye, and around Australia.

The 2026 Premier's Anzac Student Tour participants are:

  • Year 9 Lucy Henville, Mount Lawley Senior High School;
  • Year 9 Zach Lentin, Wesley College;
  • Year 9 Maya Gallegos, Collie Senior High School;
  • Year 9 Mikaela Phin, Busselton Senior High School;
  • Year 10 Adelle Hoddy, Dowerin District High School;
  • Year 10 Henriette Hoger, Kolbe Catholic College;
  • Year 10 Josiah Simmons, Hedland Senior High School;
  • Year 10 Shylah Broux, Shenton College;
  • Year 11 Amy Newton-Norris, John Curtin College of the Arts; and
  • Year 11 Bronte McGillivray, Lumen Christi College.
