Cricket Victoria is excited to announce its U19 Female Emerging Players Programs for the 2026-27 season.
The program will begin during the winter holidays with a three-day camp at Junction Oval, featuring education sessions from the Victorian Women's Team staff on sports nutrition, sports psychology, performance analytics, strength and conditioning, wellbeing & mindfulness, and specialist skill sessions.
The pre-season program includes training sessions that focus on skill development, physical preparation, fielding, mental skills, and centre-wicket/match opportunities.
The U19 squads feature Victoria Contracted players Indigo Noble (Victoria Country) and Ira Aery (Victoria Metro). Ira Aery (Victoria Metro), Charli McLennan (Victoria Country) and Eva Baird (Victoria Metro) are all coming off the recent experience of an U19s Tri-Series vs Sri Lanka and England held in Queensland earlier this year.
Experience team coaches once again provide incredible value for player development. This year sees the return of Teagan Parker (Country Head Coach) and Jake Brown (Country Assistant Coach) with Jess Duffin (Metro Head Coach) & Kim Littlejohn (Metro Assistant Coach) joining the team from their previous roles in the U16s Program.
Former Victoria Men's & BBL player Xavier Crone, Stefan Lidstrom Box Hill CC Premier 1's Coach & Victorian Emerging Program coach Chaminda Perera will hold specialist coaching roles. Melbourne Aces baseball coach Scott Meager will also be involved as a specialist fielding coach.
"Our specialist coaches bring a wealth of experience to the program, and their knowledge will provide tremendous value as we continue to develop both players and staff."
The U19 squads will return to Monivae College in Hamilton to play South Australia in a multi-format series across four days starting in late September, providing a fantastic opportunity for team bonding and valuable match experience against quality opposition.
Both Victoria Country and Metro teams will be selected ahead of the Cricket Australia National Championships, with locations and dates to be announced by Cricket Australia.
