Funding for initiatives that help prevent family, domestic, and sexual violence is being made available under the State Government's Family and Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Grants Program.
A total of $3 million is available for eligible organisations to deliver community programs that address the drivers of violence and prevent it before it occurs.
Organisations can apply for funding to deliver one-off projects that run for up to one year, which may include initiatives focusing on workforce development, empowering communities, and marketing and advocacy.
Local government authorities, not-for-profit community organisations and Aboriginal organisations are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The Family and Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Grants Program is a key commitment of the State Government's Safe Home, Safe Family package and is an integral part of the Path to Safety strategy, which was developed to realise the vision of a Western Australia where all people live free from family and domestic violence.
Organisations can apply for funding under the Family and Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Grants Program via Tenders WA. Applications close on 30 September 2022.
