The American Chemical Society (ACS) and IEEE, the world's largest technical professional organization, have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to foster collaboration and share knowledge in support of their shared commitment to advancing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for the benefit of the global community.
Under this agreement, ACS and IEEE will explore opportunities for joint initiatives, including co-hosted events, expert exchanges, collaborative communications, and the development of products and services that promote innovation across chemistry, engineering and related disciplines. The partnership reflects both organizations' commitment to education, research and professional development in their respective fields.
"This collaboration underscores our dedication to advancing science and engineering in ways that serve society and drive progress," says Albert G. Horvath, chief executive officer of ACS. "By working together, ACS and IEEE can amplify our impact and create new opportunities for knowledge sharing."
"IEEE and ACS share a common vision of fostering scientific and technological excellence," says Sophia A. Muirhead, executive director and chief operating officer of IEEE. "This MOU provides a framework for meaningful cooperation that benefits our members and the broader STEM community."
The agreement, effective for three years, establishes a foundation for ACS and IEEE to pursue mutually beneficial projects and joint activities, as well as leverage each other's expertise while maintaining independence and organizational integrity.
