Geneva will become the global focal point for artificial intelligence as world leaders and policymakers, leading AI researchers, technology pioneers, and United Nations agencies meet for the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 and the inaugural Global Dialogue on AI Governance.
Taking place from 7 to 10 July at Geneva's Palexpo convention centre, the AI for Good Global Summit is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN agency for digital technologies, together with more than 50 UN partners and co-convened by the Swiss Confederation.
The Summit follows the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, meeting from 6 to 7 July, convened by the United Nations General Assembly and facilitated by UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
Together with the WSIS Forum 2026, taking place throughout the same week, these events create an unprecedented global gathering to advance international cooperation on AI and digital technologies. Discussions at the events will span AI policy, standards, innovation, skills development, and real-world AI deployment.
