The Australian National University (ANU) has climbed three places to 29th in the QS World University Rankings 2027, reinforcing its standing as one of the world's leading universities and placing it in the top two per cent globally.
"ANU is proud to have been ranked in the top two per cent globally and fourth nationally in the QS World University Rankings for 2027," said Interim Vice-Chancellor Professor Rebekah Brown.
"We stand among the top two per cent of the world's leading universities, reflecting the excellence of our research, teaching and public policy contribution. This has been made possible by the efforts of the outstanding ANU community."

"ANU attracts the brightest and best students from Australia and the world, and they are taught by academics at the forefront of their disciplines," Professor Brown said.
"As evidenced by these results and the Graduate Outcomes Survey - Longitudinal , our graduates have excellent employment outcomes and leave ANU with the skills, knowledge and critical thinking needed to address some of the world's most pressing and complex challenges and lead across sectors and communities worldwide.
"As Australia's national university, our research, education and partnerships contribute directly to national capability, scientific discovery, public policy and Australia's engagement with the world, particularly across the Asia Pacific region.
"ANU remains committed to innovation, quality and continuous improvement and to providing an outstanding learning, teaching and campus experience for students from Australia and internationally."
