Appeal after affray in Sydney's west

Police have released an image of two men and are appealing for information as investigations continue into an affray in Western Sydney late last year.

About 8.30pm on Saturday 11 December 2021, emergency services were called to Toongabbie Railway Station, after reports of a 23-year-old man had been assaulted by three unknown men.

The man lost consciousness and sustained injuries to his face.

Officers attached to the Police Transport Command attended and commenced an investigation.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist their investigation.

Both men are depicted as being of Pacific Islander/ Maori appearance.

The first man is described as being of medium build, with short black hair and a plaited rat's tail. He is depicted seen wearing a red, white and black polo shirt with the word JAPAN written on the front, black pants, white shoes and is carrying a Gucci bag.

The second man described as being of large build, with thick black eyebrows and a black moustache. He is depicted wearing a navy hooded jacket, dark coloured pants, black joggers and is carrying a black shoulder bag.

As inquiries continue, police urge anyone with information that may assist with the identification of the men to contact Police Transport command on 02 8852 1499 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
