Appeal for dashcam after Parkdale fatal crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for dashcam and witnesses following a fatal crash in Parkdale this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Nepean Highway, near the Warrigal Road intersection, following reports a motorcyclist had crashed into a residential fence about 3.10am.

A male, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

Detectives have since established the yellow Hyosung motorbike was stolen and a second male was on board at the time of the crash.

It's believed he fled on foot towards Warrigal Road prior to police arrival.

It is not yet known whether the deceased was the pillion passenger or rider of the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Detectives have since spoken with a 15-year-old boy in relation to the incident.

He remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of the motorbike travelling on the Nepean Highway in the lead up to the crash in the hope someone may have seen or driven past the yellow motorbike at the time.
