Apply now for Student Ambassador Program

NT Government

7 January 2023

The Northern Territory Government is seeking the next group of passionate and committed international students to become 2023 Study NT Student Ambassadors.

Established in 2016, the Study NT Student Ambassador Program helps promote the Northern Territory as the destination of choice for international students, and supports international student wellbeing, growth and development opportunities.

International students contribute a great deal to the Territory community culturally, socially and economically and the Territory Labor Government is working hard to attract many more.

In 2021 international education and training injected $169 million into the NT economy and in 2022, just over 3900 international students of more than 70 different nationalities were enrolled to study with the Territory's quality education and training providers.

Student ambassadors play a big part in the promotional efforts to attract more students.

The ambassadors receive personal and professional development on topics including public speaking, networking, social media, as well as media training.

This gives them the tools to effectively promote the Territory by showcasing their study journey and experience across social media and in print and digital marketing campaigns, webinars and events.

Applicants must be an international student and hold a Student (subclass 500) visa, be at least 16 years of age on 1 January 2023 and reside and be studying with a registered international education and training provider in the Northern Territory or Navitas Professional.
